Since our inception, our organization continues to grow to be one of APEC's most leading ship management agencies that provide competent and professional service for our clients and vendors.
In 2004, Baltic Agencies Pte Ltd was incorporated with a mission to provide operational excellence with a complete suite of integrated maritime service solutions to a long-standing and reputable client base. These services include ship, technical and crew management services, employing hundreds of highly skilled shore-based staff and seafarers with skill-sets equipped to man our diverse fleet portfolio from tanker, container, offshore and other ship types.
With this immense success, Baltic Shipping Pte Ltd was later formed in 2005 with the long-term goal of providing safe and reliable transportation of cargo, as well as protecting the seas and oceans where we conduct our trade. Recognizing the importance of the Straits of Malacca and Singapore (SOMS)—one of the world's busiest waterways—we expanded our expertise to provide round-the-clock Marine Advisory services. Our Straits Pilots offer critical local knowledge of the waters, Traffic Separation Schemes and port approaches, ensuring navigational safety for vessels including VLCCs, LNG carriers and oil rigs. This professional nautical assistance supports Masters unfamiliar with these constrained waters while contributing to the environmental protection of the littoral states bordering the Straits. We pride ourselves in ensuring quality management to monitor and support all our operations in the marine transportation industry.
With the rise of the commodity trading industry, Baltic Trading & Consultancy Pte Ltd was established 2019. Our niche business is trading in oil, gas and coal. We are pleased to be the leading choice of company in regional and international trade. The Baltic Group of companies is incorporated in Singapore in 2004 (Baltic Ship Management Pte Ltd), 2005 (Baltic Shipping Pte Ltd) and in 2019 (Baltic Trading & Consultancy Pte Ltd) to serve the marine and offshore industry by providing technical ship management, straits pilotage, crewing, agency services, supplies, chartering, bunkering, trading of oil and commodities and consultancy in the marine industry. Today, the company manages a diversified fleet of vessels, products, and chemical tankers with utmost efficiency and professionalism, delivering robust maritime safety solutions to a diversified clientele including ship owners, charterers, port and STS operators, and insurance companies.
It also boasts an experienced and dedicated team of Straits Pilots. Our Straits Pilots, hailing from Singapore and Malaysia, are highly qualified professionals with a combined maritime and pilotage experience of over 150 years. With a high regard for safety, reliability, and service, our pilots are frequently requested by vessel Masters, delivering assurance and diligence in every assignment.
The entire group is helmed by the Group CEO, Capt K Shaukath Ali who is an experienced Master Mariner with over 40 years of experience in the shipping field. Under his direction and tutelage, Captain K Shaukath Ali founded Baltic Agencies Pte Ltd in 2004 and Baltic Shipping Pte Ltd in 2005 respectively. He provides the strategic vision and robust leadership that guide our diverse team. His deep, firsthand understanding of maritime operations ensures that the company's commitment to safety, customer value, and sustainability is upheld across all its ventures.
